Aims and activities
The Collaboration Circle is a new space for hosting pooled funding collaborations. Overseen by an independent board comprised in equal number from funders and civil society, it provides the infrastructure to not only pool funding, but bring together partners to design and make funding decisions together, creating opportunities to learn and test new ways of grant-making. We believe it can be a game-changer in the way we create change with and for communities.
It aims to:
- Bring funders closer to communities by embedding civil society from the start
- Test new ways of sharing power, making grants and taking risks which we cannot take alone
- Unlock learning about how change can happen.
How to get involved
All funders can use this new space to pool their funds. It is designed to build on and generate public, private and philanthropic partnerships at a national – or international – scale, right through to a hyper-local level. It can be used by existing partnerships to take their funding to the next level as well as an opportunity for new collaborations to be built. What’s important is a commitment to the principles of collaboration, equity and learning that are at its heart.
There is no geographic limitation to where the Collaboration Circle can work – we’d love to hear from you if you want to fund in London, elsewhere in the UK, or internationally. Drop us a line at info@collaborationcircle.org.uk
