Aims and activities
The Foundation Practice Rating (FPR) is a fresh approach developed to evaluate the reporting and governance methodologies of the top 300 largest trusts and foundations in the UK. It focuses on assessing the foundations' performance in three crucial areas:
- Transparency
- Accountability
- Diversity.
As a small trust with a big mission, we have always known that working in partnership with other foundations was the best way to maximise the chance of change.
How to get involved
The FPR takes a stratified sampled of the largest foundations based on the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) Foundation Giving Trends report. All funders of the Foundation Practice Rating project will also be rated.
Now in its third year, a list of the foundations assessed in 2023/24 is available here.
If you are interested in joining the funding group, please contact Danielle Walker Palmour at Friends Provident Foundation.
If you have questions about the research, please contact Caroline Fiennes at Giving Evidence.
