Aims and activities
We are a diverse group of funding organisations, networks and individuals working together to achieve race equality in the UK. We believe that funders play a pivotal role in tackling racial inequality by delivering sustained investment with, in and for Black and Minoritised Ethnic communities to thrive.
We are the only membership funding network dedicated to taking a progressive approach to philanthropy, with racial justice, equity, and equality at its heart. We provide the opportunity to actively learn from each other in the field, to be open about mistakes and to take action.
For more more information about what we believe in, how we work and our impact, visit our website.
How to get involved
Visit our website for details of how to join and what we ask of members.
We urge all members of the Alliance and wider philanthropic sector to complete our racial justice audit tool at least every two years. If you’re a funder and would like to complete the audit, email us.

Who was involved
The Alliance is made up of a diverse group of funders, who are listed here.
It is governed by a Black and Minoritised-led steering group. Equally Ours acts as the Secretariat. Further information about the Alliance's governance is available here.
We’re also deepening our relationship with Black and Minoritised-led organisations by co-creating our priority areas and tackling inequality in grant making and internal cultures.
