Aims and activities
Justice Together is a funder collaboration launched in 2020 with a decade-long vision to ensure that people who use the UK immigration system can access justice fairly and equally.
It aims to build a collaborative partnership that will combine lived and learned experience, frontline evidence and influencing to work towards achieving the following outcomes:
- A fair, timely and accessible immigration system.
- A more sustainably resourced immigration advice and legal system.
- A more accessible, sustainable, collaborative, and co-ordinated sector to strengthen and increase access to immigration advice and legal provision.
Legal advice needs and legal routes for Palestinians in the UK
In February 2024, Justice Together produced a funder briefing (available on request) on legal advice needs and legal routes for Palestinians in the UK. This provides information about emerging needs for Palestinians in the UK, including:
- Access to immigration legal advice for Palestinians present in the UK
- Strategic legal work to open up safe and legal routes for Palestinians wishing to join family in the UK
- Advocacy and community capacity
- Tackling discrimination
- Psychosocial and holistic support
It gives an overview of current responses and funding needs of key organisations working on these issues. It also provides information about legal routes for Palestinians already in the UK, or for those wishing to leave Gaza.
If you would like more information on this, please contact Hazel Williams (hazel.williams@justice-collaborations.org.uk) to receive a copy of the briefing and more information about current funding needs.
Our funders, grant partners and other key stakeholders form a Community of Impact, which regularly comes together to exchange knowledge and learning, and to build relationships
How to get involved
Justice Together is open to new funders joining the initiative. Interested funders can get in touch using the enquiry form on the collaboration's website.

Learning and Resources
The initiative is committed not only to learning internally, but to convening organisations and funders to ensure learning and research is shared amongst grants partners and the wider sector. Research commissioned by the collaboration and other related resources are available here.
Justice Together and many of its participating funders feature in a report published in August 2022 by the Access to Justice Foundation, using data from 360Giving to map legal advice funding. This includes an analysis of 'who funds with who' across Justice Together and another funder collaboration, the Community Justice Fund.
