Aims and activities

Muslim Charities Forum is seeking funders who are open to engaging with UK Muslim communities and those hard-to-reach, to alleviate the effects of systemic bias, inequality and low social mobility:

  • To develop a two-way learning partnership and participatory funding opportunity
  • To investigate the barriers to funding for UK Muslim communities
  • To investigate and dismantle systemic funding practice which alienates those hardest-to-reach
  • To distribute funding to those charities and community organisations who are responding to communities in poverty, experiencing low social mobility and are victims of long-term Islamophobia and discrimination and in particular reference to recent civil unrest
  • To develop processes to ensure long-term change is realistic, achievable and can be implemented for and with user-led civil society.
