Aims and activities
The objectives of the Forum are to:
- Promote good and effective funding practice and sharing learning about funding practice
- Share learning about “what works”, “what doesn’t work” and why
- Share information and learning about evidence of need for funding
- Provide opportunities to discuss and debate policy developments in Scotland that impact on funders and the organisations they fund
- Provide opportunities for funders to collaborate and network with each other.
How to get involved
Membership of the Forum is open to any organisation that has, as a major part of its remit, the role to distribute funding in Scotland. All members must be committed to good practice in funding. Members can usually be represented at meetings by a senior officer responsible for grant-making.

Fiona Grant, Business Support Officer (Governance) from The National Lottery Community Fund, provides the Secretariat for the Forum.
Currently the Chair is Neil Ritch, Scotland Director at the National Lottery Community Fund.
Organisations involved in the Forum include The National Lottery Community Fund, Robertson Trust, Corra Foundation, Inspiring Scotland, William Grant Foundation, Impact Funding Partners, Foundation Scotland, People's Postcode Trust, National Lottery Heritage Fund and BBC Children in Need, amongst others.

Harmonising Reporting was published in 2010 by Scotland Funders’ Forum with support from Evaluation Support Scotland. The report sets out tips, good practice guidance and templates for use by funders to improve reporting.
