Bedford is a Borough which sits firmly in the middle of most national statistics, including Indices of Multiple Deprivation. However, it is a significant outlier in a number of measures relating to education. At primary level it has the biggest attainment gap in England, and it ranks very highly with in terms of numbers of permanent exclusions.
How to get involved
We are looking for partners with an interest in education, who would like to explore these issues and co-fund initiatives to understand and mitigate them.
