Aims and activities
BBC Children in Need aims to build a national strategic movement to tackle the impact of child poverty by:
- Providing targeted funding and support to specific locations across the UK using a systemic place-based approach
- Giving agency to communities to develop and implement their own local solutions to child poverty
- Championing the voice of children and young people in issues which impact them
- Building a network of child poverty practitioners to connect and learn from each other, collecting evidence about what works.
We'd love to hear from other national and regional funders interested in collaborating on this work.
How to get involved
We're seeking to collaborate with other funders looking to develop systemic, place-based approaches to child poverty in the UK. Whether you're from a national charity or a regional funder, we're keen to connect with you to understand how this programme and our shared resources could make a difference for children living in poverty today.
To find out more about the Child Poverty Impact Programme and how your organisation could support this exciting new work, please email John Lowes, Programmes & Partnerships Manager on john.lowes@bbc.co.uk.
