Aims and activities
We are developing a trauma informed grantmaking community of practice. The community of practice is seeking to support the grantmaking community to answer or share good practice on the following questions:
- What is good trauma informed grantmaking practice and why is it important?
- What is the current evidence base?
- How do we establish wider trauma informed grantmaking practice in the UK?
- What can we learn from other funders who are taking a trauma informed approach to their grantmaking?
- What support/training is needed by funders to start or progress in their trauma informed grantmaking journeys?
- Other questions that may arise as the community of practice evolves
How to get involved
Please [get in touch with Lisa Raftery](mailto:traumainformedgrantmakinguk@gmail.com?subject=Funders Collaborative Hub - Trauma informed grantmaking community of practice) if you would like to get involved in this Community of Practice.
The initial plan is to speak to funders about current practice, share good practice in trauma informed grantmaking and to raise awareness of why taking a trauma informed approach to grantmaking is important.
If there is appetite for further lunch and learn or longer sessions on this topic, we will work with funders to determine what this should cover and make space for bringing funders together around this topic.
We are very open to ideas and feedback on what support funders would be looking for to start or progress their trauma informed grantmaking journeys, so please do get in touch.
