This session is being convened by Fozia Irfan from BBC Children in Need to discuss Islamophobia in the context of the recent riots.

This webinar is bringing together experts to discuss the definition of Islamophobia, the challenges and disparities which specific Muslim communities face, how the narrative around Muslims has shaped perceptions and what action funders need to be taking to address the impact of the riots.

Speakers include:

  • Baroness Warsi
  • Fadi Itani OBE, Muslim Charities Forum
  • Bilal Hussain, Runnymede Trust
  • Majid Iqbal, Islamophobia Response Unit.

As far as we are aware, this is the first dedicated conversation for national funders on Islamophobia and will provide specific learning on the context of Muslim communities.
