Greater Manchester Funders Forum briefing: How can funders support environmental action?

The GM Funders Forum exists to enable independent grant makers, social investors, and public sector funders to collaborate and coordinate programmes. These regular briefing sessions are a chance for members and other funders to hear more about topics relevant to them.

At this briefing session for GM Funders Forum members, Jane Cabutti from the Environmental Funders Network will give us an update on the work that they are undertaking to support environmental causes and to help funding contribute to action around the environment.  

We’ll also hear from Felicity Mallam, Director of Wates Family Enterprise Trust who will share their journey from supporting small environmental projects to a more strategic approach, creating their Nature Based Neighbourhoods partnership which aims to bring nature to the heart of the communities most in need of its benefits.

Whether you are already funding environmental initiatives, would like to start, or would like to hear about the other ways funders can contribute to the green agenda, this session will be a great opportunity to share learning and have discussions about approaches to tackling environmental issues.
